BREAKING: After 3-Years, 41 Year Old Cristiano Ronaldo Win Saudi Pro League With Al Nassr
Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice on Thursday as Al Nassr defeated Damac 4-1 to clinch the Saudi Pro League title.
The Genius Media Nigeria reports that the victory ended Ronaldo’s long wait for domestic silverware, with Al Nassr finishing two points ahead of Al Hilal on the final day of the season.
Ronaldo struck twice in the final half-hour to seal the win Al Nassr needed to emerge as champions.
The 41-year-old, who had not won a major club trophy since lifting Serie A with Juventus in 2020, was emotional as he watched the closing minutes from the bench.
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in 2023 and has now added the Saudi championship to his league titles in England, Spain and Italy.
He also has five Champions League titles to his name.
Free-Kick Seals Win
Al Nassr had taken a 2-0 lead before Damac pulled one back to make it 2-1.
Ronaldo restored his side’s cushion in the 63rd minute with a trademark free-kick that evaded the goalkeeper and a crowd of players before finding the far corner.
He scored again nine minutes from time, receiving a cut-back near the six-yard box before firing high into the net.
Sadio Mane had earlier opened the scoring for Al Nassr at the Al-Awwal Park Stadium in Riyadh.
Ronaldo’s latest triumph comes shortly after he was named in Portugal’s squad for the World Cup. The all-time leading men’s international goalscorer, with 143 goals, is set for a sixth appearance at the tournament.
