Moment Cristiano Ronaldo Bursts Into Tears After Winning Saudi Pro League With Al-Nassr [WATCH HERE]
CRISTIANO RONALDO burst into tears after finally ending his agonising three-year silverware drought with Al-Nassr.
The Portuguese icon was the hero as he fired his side to a 4-1 win over Damac at the Alawwal Park in Riyadh.
The win and the three points confirmed Al-Nassr‘s place as champions of the Saudi Pro League.
Ronaldo, 41, and co headed into the match needing at least a point to hold off rivals Al-Hilal – after seeing the championship slip through their fingers, quite literally, in dramatic scenes against their title rivals last week
That night, Al-Nassr goalkeeper Bento made a catastrophic error in the last seconds of added time to fumble into his own net to hand Al-Hilal a 1-1 draw.
But Ronaldo and Co left nothing to chance this time as the Manchester United legend netted twice in a title-winning rout.
Former Liverpool star Sadio Mane opened the scoring in the 31st minute before Kinsley Coman doubled the lead after the break.
Morlaye Sylla nabbed one back for Damac before Ronaldo stepped up to put the result beyond doubt.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner netted in the 62nd and 80th minutes to give Al-Nassr a three-goal cushion.
His first goal was the pick of the bunch as he managed to score a rare free-kick from a tight angle.
Despite his explosive goalscoring form since making the mega-money move to the Middle East, team trophies had frustratingly evaded the serial winner.
But after three long years of trying, the legendary attacker can finally call himself a champion once again.
