Verydarkman Mocks Zlatan Over Album And Wedding Amid Feud SpeculationSocial media activist VeryDarkMan, popularly known as VDM, has taken a swipe at Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile over his recent album and wedding, as speculation grows about a possible disagreement between the two personalities.
VDM criticised the attention surrounding the events in a post on his social media page, questioning the level of public engagement generated by the rapper’s wedding and music release.
The activist suggested that the wedding had been used to promote the album but claimed that neither event had attracted the level of attention expected.
“Person wey do a whole wedding because he won promote him album, album no blow, wedding no blow,” he wrote.
VDM also questioned the engagement generated by blog posts about the wedding, claiming that none of the posts attracted up to 5,000 comments.
He further said he would be disappointed if Zlatan’s latest song failed to remain at the top of the Apple Music chart for a month.
“All the blogs that posted the wedding, no one entered 5k comments. All the PR, Vincent everywhere. If that song no stay No. 1 for one month, e go pain me,” he added.
The comments come amid online speculation that Zlatan may have directed a lyric at VDM in a song featuring fellow artistes Peruzzi and Shoday.
In the track, Zlatan raps, “I no be Vincent, I no fit masturbate,” a line that some listeners have linked to VDM, whose first name is Vincent.
However, the lyric has fuelled speculation among listeners, and the available remarks do not establish whether it was intended as a direct reference to the activist.
Neither the reported lyric nor VDM’s comments, on their own, confirm the existence of a feud between the two personalities.
