VDM Says Bayo Onanuga Is A Very Stupid Old Man

Popular social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has reacted angrily to an alleged AI-generated video linked to him, accusing the Presidency of focusing on him while insecurity worsens in the country.

The reaction followed a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who said VDM should face prosecution for allegedly sharing fake audio of President Bola Tinubu.

An 𝕏 user, @Pious_minister, had earlier alleged that an AI-generated audio of the President was used in one of VDM’s videos.

In the viral audio, a voice allegedly mimicking Tinubu claimed that insecurity in Nigeria would continue because Nigerians did not vote for him during the 2023 presidential election.

Onanuga accused VDM of spreading false content on social media and described the alleged circulation of the audio as an abuse of social media platforms.

The presidential aide said the social media critic should face the law over the matter.

Reacting in a video posted on his social media page, VeryDarkMan said he would not defend the controversial AI clip.

He also criticised Onanuga and questioned why the Presidency had not shown the same urgency over the recent abduction of teachers and students in Oyo State.

The activist alleged that one of the abducted teachers had been killed while the victims remained in captivity during Children’s Day.

VeryDarkMan said the government should focus more attention on insecurity and the plight of abducted citizens.

He accused the Presidency of being more concerned about social media criticism than the safety of Nigerians.

He stated, “President spokesman Bayo, you are a very stupid old man. I’m not trying to insult you, but look at the meaning of stupid. That’s what you represent. That is who you are.

“I swear to God, you are so daft, and this is the reason why I said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should not come back in 2027 because all the people that operate under him don’t use their brains.

“You are so stupid. I know say una don get me for mind and think say part of an agenda. You see this audio, I will not defend it. You no dey shame.

“Now you can talk. Bandits went into a school in Oyo State, they carried three teachers, one man, two women, they carried students. One of the teachers was backing an infant child. A few days later, there was a report that one of the teachers was beheaded. Bayo Onanuga, where is your comment on that?

“As I speak to you today, it is Children’s Day. Those children are still in an unknown location. I want to see wetin una wan do. It’s only stupid people that will believe that video.”
