US/Israel Vs Iran War: Iran Confirms Mojtaba Khamenei’s Condition As Trump Demands Surrender
Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi claimed on Saturday that Mojtaba Khamenei is in good condition, in response to doubts about the supreme leader’s well-being.
Mojtaba, 56, was injured in the airstrikes that targeted dozens of the Islamic Republic’s senior officials at the start of the United States-Israel operation, now on Day 16.
The speculation about the leader’s health status became rife when the first speech after his appointment was read on his behalf on Iranian media.
At a press briefing last week, United States Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said Motjaba was “wounded and likely disfigured.”
Araghchi cleared the air in an interview with MS NOW: “There is no problem with the new supreme leader. He is performing his duties according to the constitution.”
The minister decried the bombing of Kharg Island and Abu Musa Island from nearby countries, calling the use of Iran’s neighbors “absolutely unacceptable.”
Aragachi revealed military tracking showed the rockets were fired from two “highly populated areas” in the UAE—from Ras Al Khaimah and another location close to Dubai.
Over the weekend, President Donald Trump told NBC News that he was aware of the rumors about Motjaba Khamenei, and doesn’t know if he is alive or deceased.
“Nobody’s been able to show him,” he said. “I’m hearing he’s not alive, and if he is, he should do something very smart for his country, and that’s surrender.”
Trump confirmed his liaison with other countries to protect the Strait of Hormuz from attacks on vessels. The volatile situation has disrupted oil supply, surging prices globally.
