BREAKING: Nigeria In Darkness As National Grid Collapses For 1st Time In 2025—–Major parts of Nigeria have been thrown into darkness as the national grid experienced a collapse on Saturday, marking the first time in the year.

According to data obtained from the Nigerian System Operator’s portal (niggrid.org), the collapse occurred at 1:56 pm.
This incident follows a pattern of instability, with the grid suffering about 12 consecutive collapses in 2024.
The cause of the latest failure is yet to be disclosed by government authority, as of filing the report.

However, TGM confirms that there is a power supply in parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Recall that the National Grid recorded at least twelve collapses in 2024 alone.
