BREAKING: Ifeanyi Ubah Missing After Assassination Attempt—The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, representing Anambra South Senatorial District was hours ago attacked by unknown gun men in Anambra State.
The dastardly incident saw the killing of a number of his aides and police details all of whom totaled about 10 at Enugwu-Ukwu community in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Although the Police have since swung into action to fish out the assailants, eye witnesses informed The Genius Media Nigeria Newspaper that the gunmen opened fire on the convoy of the Senator at close range, although police operatives in the convoy responded but about six policemen were gunned down in the shoot-out.
While many have claimed that it was an assassination attempt on his life The Genius Media Nigeria Newspaper can report that Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s whereabout is still unknown, and his phone numbers are all still switched off as at the time of filing this report.
A source who spoke on the incident said, “The policemen were about four in the convoy and they were attacked.
“All their arms were collected. The boys that spearheaded that attack were about nine in numbers.”
TGM understands that Ifeanyi Ubah was lucky and only survived because he was inside a bullet proof vehicle which sped off at the time of the incident.
The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident and said there was an attack on the men of the command at Enugwu-Ukwu, but insisted that the casualty figure were still unknown.
He said, “The Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command, CP Echeng Echeng, has today (Sunday), led police operatives to the scene where sporadic shootings took place in Enugu-Ukwu.
“Though the details of the incident are still sketchy, operatives are on the ground there as operations are going on and the situation is being monitored. Further details shall be communicated please.”
Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, is a Nigerian businessman, entrepreneur and currently the Senator, representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the Nigerian senate and CEO of Capital Oil, which he founded in 2001.
