Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, on Wednesday wondered whether the impeachment of Bukola Saraki as Senate President would reduce the price of a bag of rice in the Nigerian market to N7,000.

Fayose shared his thoughts about the calls for the removal of Saraki via his verified Twitter handle, @ayofayose.

He wrote:”When a ruling party turns the removal of Senate President to its main agenda, the result is a heated polity. They are holding meetings upon meetings on Saraki’s impeachment as if removing the Senate President will reduce the price of rice to N7, 000 per bag that it was in 2015.”

It has been Fayose’s style not to keep mute on any matter that seems like irregularities or any lacklustre attitude of the Federal Government in tackling any of the menaces in the country ranging from Insecurities to Infrastructural decay to Unemployment amidst others.
