Liverpool on Sunday evening became the first team to beat Manchester City in the 2017/2018 season of the English Premier League (EPL) defeat the champions-elect 4-3 at Anfield.

Goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane saw Jurgen Klopp’s side gain a win that takes them up to third place in the table.

The result means that Liverpool ended Manchester City’s hopes of matching Arsenal Invincibles

Earlier on Sunday, Arsenal went ahead at Bournemouth on Sunday before falling to a surprise 2-1 defeat.

Earlier, Chelsea were held by 10-man Leicester City to miss the chance to move into second in the Premier League standings on Saturday.

It was a different story for West Ham who thumped Huddersfield in a 4-1 win to move into 11th, level on points and goal difference with Crystal Palace after the Eagles beat Burnley 1-0.

Meanwhile, at the bottom of the table, Swansea City were denied victory in a 1-1 draw with Newcastle United, and struggling West Bromwich Albion picked up a rare win against Brighton & Hove Albion.
