BREAKING: Like Enzo Fernandez, MOISES CAICEDO Set For Chelsea Move To Real Madrid
MOISES CAICEDO is the latest Chelsea player to raise doubts over his future after Enzo Fernandez was BANNED for his comments.
The Blues’ midfielder refused to rule out a potential exit, leaving the door open to a move away.
In an interview with Spanish outlet AS, Caicedo was asked about Real Madrid and a possible transfer.
He replied: “You never know in football, don’t you think?
“I have a contract with Chelsea now.
“The truth is, I haven’t honestly thought about another club, about leaving London, but well, in the end, you never know in football.
“All I want is to enjoy myself. I have a contract and I want to keep playing as long as God allows.
“After that, we’ll see what happens. I have a contract, but we’ll see what the future holds. Let’s see what surprises await us.”
Caicedo, 24, is the third Chelsea player to be asked about his long-term commitment to the club in recent weeks after partner Fernandez caused outrage.
The Argentine said multiple times over the international break that he would love to live in Madrid, just days after he admitted he wasn’t sure what the summer held for him.
Fernandez has been linked with PSG and Los Blancos heavily in the fortnight since with Marc Cucurella openly asked about a return to Barcelona as well.
Defender Cucurella, 27, is another member of Chelsea’s leadership team alongside Fernandez and Caicedo.
He, like Fernandez, called out the club’s youth transfer policy and the events which led to Enzo Maresca leaving.
Only Fernandez was suspended internally for his interviews, especially due to the repeated nature, but it does not help the already unsettled atmosphere at Chelsea.
