IMADE’S CUSTODY BATTLE: Burna Boy Says Davido’s Marriage Is Bad Example—Nigeria songwriter and singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has described David Adeleke, Davido’s marriage as a bad example.
The Afrobeat superstar described Adekunle Gold’s marriage with Simi as good example to be emulated.
Nigeria Afrobeat superstar singer, Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, known by his stage name, Adekunle Gold, got married to Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, known by her stage name Simi, in 2019.
Burna Boy, on his X handle, engaged in a series of fans’ engagements on Friday. The “For My Hands” crooner wrote on his handle, “Odogwu too wise” who no hear go feel”. The post attracted reaction from a fan, @badlieutanant, who asked the “Odogwu” crooner to get married as Davido did.
@badlieutanant wrote, “Burna Boy, you should start planning for your future by getting married and starting a family. OBO has already set an example. You’re over 33 now, and you need to understand that you’re not getting any younger.”
In response, Burna said he preferred to remain a bachelor than be in the same situation like the “Unavailable” crooner.
He wrote, “Baba make I just dey as I dey abeg, u nor see wetin him dey face like dis?” Another fan, @RealDreylo, replied Burna, “You can’t even answer a question like a reasonable person LOL just big head and plenty beards.”
In reply to @RealDreylo, Burna said, “Ok. But between me and you, Shey na betta example the guy use?.”
Another fan of his, @sunofoba, took the conversation further. @Sunofoba asked “Adekunle Gold na better example?” Burna responded, “Ehen! Na wetin we dey pray for be that bros.”
Davido has been in the news concerning custody of his daughter, Adeleke Imade. Imade’s mother, Sophia Momodu in a counter affidavit, claimed that her daughter would suffer trauma if she stays in David’s custody.
