BREAKING: Naija Driver Challenge Expands To 23 States

The Nigerian Drivers Challenge 2026 has expanded to 23 states and the Federal Capital Territory ahead of its national online theory examination scheduled for Saturday.

The Project Director, Mr Adrian Egonu, said this in statement on Thursday in Lagos .

Egonu said that public safety technical alignment and supervision had recently been conducted by the Lagos State Drivers Institute (LASDRI) and Lagos State Safety Commission at the proposed grand finale arena.

“The inaugural competition, powered by Notch Captains Ltd., is a technology-driven motoring safety initiative aimed at promoting professional driving standards and road safety nationwide.

“The 20-minute examination will feature 40 multiple-choice questions and commence at 11.00 a.m., and candidates must use a personal computer or laptop with a functioning webcam and reliable internet connection,” he said.

He said that smartphones and tablets would not be supported because the examination’s security system would require desktop operating systems to monitor compliance and prevent examination malpractice.

He urged candidates to secure suitable computers and stable internet connections ahead of the examination.

“LASDRI has integrated its professional driver training module into the challenge portal, giving registered candidates free access to defensive driving guides, highway code manuals and post-crash first aid information.

“The highest-scoring candidates in each participating state will qualify for the national finals scheduled for Nov. 7 to Nov.10 at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

“The finalists will compete in practical driving challenges for state and national titles, with prizes available for the winners,” he said.

He said registration and training would be free for male and female motorists aged 18 year to 65 years, while registration for new candidates would close at midnight on Friday, Oct. 16.

He said interested motorists can register and access the training materials through www.nigeriandriverschallenge.com.
