Bayern Munich Star, Jamal Musiala Suffers Second On-Field Collapse In Three Days
Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala was taken off the pitch after collapsing in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday, three days after a similar incident in Munich.
The 23-year-old collapsed to the ground barely minutes after coming on late in the match against second-tier Heidenheim.
Musiala appeared bewildered as he received medical attention and was assisted off the pitch.
Following the match, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl stated that Musiala would respond to the matter shortly.
“Jamal will speak about this in the near future. We knew about it, and we are aware of the situation,” Eberl said.
“Jamal will speak out. He’s in the dressing room, getting changed and taking a shower.”
On Saturday, the Germany international collapsed on the pitch against RB Leipzig and required medical care in scorching conditions in the Bavarian city, when temperatures soared beyond 30°C.
Musiala missed the first six months of last season owing to a fractured ankle suffered at the Club World Cup, but he recovered in the second half of the season and represented Germany in the 2026 World Cup.
