Vinicius Junior has ended months of speculation over his future by signing a new six-year contract with Real Madrid that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabéu until June 30, 2032.
The Spanish giants confirmed the agreement in an official statement on Thursday, August 5.
“Real Madrid CF and Vinicius Jr have agreed to extend our player’s contract, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2032,” the club said.
The renewal brings an end to lengthy negotiations between the Brazilian forward and Real Madrid, with his previous deal due to expire in June 2027.

According to Newsmen, Vinicius’ representatives met with senior club officials at Valdebebas on Wednesday, where both parties reached a breakthrough after Real Madrid presented an improved contract offer. The agreement was finalized less than 24 hours later.
Manager Jose Mourinho is believed to have played an important role in persuading the 26-year-old to remain at the club, while president Florentino Perez maintained his stance that Vinicius was central to Madrid’s long-term plans.
Shortly after the announcement, Vinicius celebrated the new deal on social media, writing: “Eight years at the Bernabeu is too short… six more years and forever.”
Since arriving from Flamengo in 2018, the Brazil international has established himself as one of Real Madrid’s most influential players.
He has made 375 appearances, scored 128 goals, and helped the club win 14 major trophies, including two UEFA Champions League titles, three La Liga crowns, three FIFA Club World Cups, one Copa del Rey, three Spanish Super Cups, and two UEFA Super Cups.
The contract extension secures Vinicius’ future in Madrid until 2032, when he will be 32 years old, reinforcing the club’s commitment to building its team around one of world football’s brightest stars.
For Arsenal, the development ends any hopes of signing the winger this summer, forcing the Premier League club to explore alternative options before the transfer window closes.
