Aggrieved Nigerians Warn Tinubu Against Attempt To Rig 2027 Elections After APC Declares 10 Million Votes In Presidential Primaries

Some Nigerians have raised concerns over the credibility of Nigeria’s electoral process ahead of the 2027 general elections, warning Bola Tinubu against any attempt to manipulate the outcome of the polls.

The concerns follow complaints surrounding the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries, where critics alleged irregularities in the reported voting figures, including claims of over 10 million votes, which they described as suspicious and an attempt to influence the electoral system ahead of 2027 polls.

Bola Tinubu over the weekend  emerged as the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate for the 2027 general election after securing nearly 11 million votes in the party’s nationwide primary election.

The results, drawn from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, showed Tinubu in a commanding lead over fellow aspirant Stanley Osifo, cementing his dominance within the ruling party ahead of the next electoral cycle.

Bola Tinubu secured 10.99 million votes to defeat his sole rival, who polled 16,504 votes, in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary election held across 8,809 wards nationwide.

The figures were announced during the ongoing national collation of results at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.

However, some Nigerians have continued to raise alarm over the figure.

Taking to X, a commentator, OurFaveOnlineDoc @OurFavOnlineDoc wrote ‘’Just incase you are not aware: After the shambolic disgraceful primaries of the APC across Nigeria, the APC has just declared that Tinubu got 10.9 million votes from APC members.

‘’Note that this is coming 3years after this incompetent president has made nigerian life harder, the economy worse, and insecurity far more terrible than in 2023. People are being slaughtered on an almost daily basis, children are being kidnapped, millions can’t afford three meals in a day and extreme poverty has worsened since 2023 that these parasites invaded Aso Rock.Yet to these animals in the APC, BAT is somehow more popular, even though he has been factually more useless.’’
