Chelsea’s disastrous campaign hit a new height on Tuesday night as Brighton & Hove Albion dismantled the London side in a 3–0 thrashing at the Amex Stadium.

Chelsea attempted a late surge with the introductions of Marc Guiu and Dario Essugo, and Garnacho came agonizingly close in the 77th minute with a curling effort that whistled just wide of the post.
However, the final blow was delivered in stoppage time by veteran striker Danny Welbeck. Showing the composure that Chelsea’s young frontline lacked, Welbeck connected with a first-time shot inside the box to fire into the roof of the net, making it 3–0 and sending the home crowd into raptures.
