BREAKING: Police To Arrest And Prosecute Mirabel Over Alleged false R@pe Claim
The Ogun State Police Command has concluded plans to arrest and prosecute a female TikTok user, Mirabel, after she allegedly admitted that her earlier r@pe allegation was false.
Mirabel reportedly made the admission during a viral phone conversation with social media personality VeryDarkMan, popularly known as VDM. In the widely circulated audio, she was heard apologising and acknowledging that aspects of her initial claim were untrue.
A police source revealed that officers were monitoring the situation and that Mirabel would be taken into custody after being discharged from the hospital where she was receiving treatment.
Mirabel had earlier alleged on TikTok that she was att@cked and r@ped by a stranger who allegedly forced his way into her apartment in the Ogijo area of Ogun State. The allegation triggered widespread reactions online.
Reacting to the latest development, the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, said the command was reviewing the matter and would issue an official update in due course.
