BREAKING: Vladimir Putin Agrees Ceasefire For Ukraine [DETAILS]
PUTIN has agreed to stop bombing Ukraine’s cities for a week during frigid temperatures, following a personal request from Donald Trump.
The temporary winter ceasefire comes as millions of Ukrainian civilians freeze in sub-zero conditions under a relentless onslaught of Russian attacks targeting the power grid.
President Trump announced the temporary peace deal amid concern that the Kremlin’s attacks were pushing the war-battered country towards a humanitarian crisis.
“I personally asked President Putin not to fire into Kyiv and various towns for a week, and he agreed to do that,” Trump said at a Cabinet meeting, citing “extraordinary cold” in the region.
“It was very nice. A lot of people said, ‘Don’t waste the call, you’re not going to get that.’ And he did it,” Trump added.
In turn, the Ukrainian military have reportedly been ordered not to strike Russia’s power systems, according to The Telegraph.
