Former Chelsea star Frank Leboeuf has backed the Blues to claim a narrow win over Barcelona when the two European giants clash at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League’s matchday five tonight.
Chelsea come into the Champions League tie on the heels of a weekend Premier League victory over Burnley. Barcelona, meanwhile, were in dominant form at Camp Nou, cruising past Athletic Club 4-0 in their last LaLiga outing.
Leboeuf, speaking to OLBG, is optimistic about Chelsea’s chances and offered his prediction for the scoreline.
“Being positive, 2-1 to Chelsea,” he said.
He also voiced concern over Barcelona’s defensive setup under Hansi Flick. The French pundit said, “I see Barcelona playing the high line and that is insane. I mean, I don’t understand Hansi Flick and the way he plays. As a defender, I would refuse to play like that, put me on the bench, I don’t want to look like a fool.”
