BREAKING: President Tinubu And Trump Set For Meeting Over Christian Genocide In Nigeria

The presidency has revealed that a meeting between President Bola Tinubu and President Donald Trump of the United States is in the pipeline over the claims of genocide against Christians in Nigeria.

The Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, gave the hint on Saturday in a post on his 𝕏 account.

While maintaining that both Trump and Tinubu are committed to the fight against terrorism and have cooperated to advance this goal in the past, Bwala submitted that both leaders would discuss and iron out areas of difference during their meeting in the coming days.

The presidential media aide disclosed that the meeting would be held in the Aso Rock Villa or in the White House.

He wrote, “Both President @officialABAT and President @realDonaldTrump have shared interest in the fight against insurgency and all forms of terrorism against humanity.

“President Trump has assisted Nigeria a lot by authorizing the sale of arms to Nigeria and President Tinubu has adequately utilized the opportunity in the fight against terrorism for which we have massive results to show for it.

“As for the differences as to whether terrorists in Nigeria target only Christians or in fact all faiths and no faiths, the differences if they exist would be discussed and resolved by the two leaders when they meet in the coming days, either in State House or White House.”

The Genius Media Nigeria recalls that United States President, Donald Trump, on Friday, declared Nigeria a ‘country of particular concern’ following reports of alleged Christian genocide in the country.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump asserted that radical Islamists are responsible for the reported mass killing of Christians in Nigeria.

Trump stressed that America cannot fold its hand and watch such atrocities continue in Nigeria and other countries of concern.

He asked Congressman Riley Moore and Chairman Tom Cole, together with the House Appropriations Committee, to “immediately look into this matter, and report back to me.”

In a quick response, the federal government of Nigeria also rejected recent remarks by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, alleging mass killings of Christians in Nigeria and declaring the country a “Country of Particular Concern.”

In a statement issued on Saturday morning by Kimiebi Ebienfa, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government said the claims “do not reflect the situation on the ground.”

Also, President Tinubu has dismissed the United States President, Donald Trump’s designation of Nigeria as a “country of particular concern” over alleged religious persecution.

Tinubu, in a statement via his 𝕏 handle on Saturday, clarified that the Nigerian constitution protects citizens of all faiths.
