BREAKING: Casualties As Passenger Bus Somersaults Along Makurdi–Yelewata Road
Passenger bus traveling from Makurdi has been involved in a serious accident, somersaulting into the bush a few kilometers before Yelewata.
Casualties have been reported, though details are still emerging.
Eyewitnesses advised residents to urgently check on loved ones who may have boarded a vehicle from Makurdi earlier today.
One of the first responders who rushed to alert the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, office at Yelewata claimed that officers on duty said the location of the crash was outside their operational jurisdiction.
They allegedly directed him to lodge the report at the Daudu unit instead.
As of the time of filing this report, rescue efforts and the exact number of casualties remain unconfirmed.
