Fenerbahçe have sacked José Mourinho just eight months into his tenure as manager.
The Genius Media Nigeria reports that The decision came a day after the Turkish club failed to qualify for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League league phase, following elimination by Benfica.
Mourinho, 62, oversaw only two matches this season before his dismissal. Last campaign, he guided Fenerbahçe to a second-place finish in the Turkish Super Lig but was unable to deliver any silverware.
The former Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester United boss saw his side knocked out of the Turkish Cup in the quarter-finals and eliminated from the Europa League round of 16 by Rangers.
His brief stay in Istanbul ends without a trophy, continuing a difficult period in the latter stages of his managerial career.
