BREAKING: Prof Simon Ortuanya Emerges New UNN VC

Prof Simon Ortuanya has emerged as the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN.

The news was broken by a renowned lawyer, Chidi Onah, who has been reporting the selection process, in a post on his Facebook page on Sunday night.

“Finally, Professor Simon Uchenna Otuanya is the next Vice Chancellor of University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Now, you can start congratulating him,” Onah posted.

A member of the UNN Governing Council, who sought anonymity, also confirmed Ortuanya’s emergence as the UNN VC to DAILY POST.

“Yes, we just finished the business of getting a new VC for UNN. He (Ortuanya) came top among other candidates.”

DAILY POST reports that Ortuanya has made history as the first indigenous Vice Chancellor of the UNN in over 60 years of its existence.
