This transfer window isn’t showing much shining light for Super Eagles players. Fact is, it is a dull market that isn’t positively looking the way of our players.

While some argue that Super Eagles players didn’t do much last season to attract big moves, others say, perhaps bad agents coupled with apathy for African players in Europe’s big clubs could be responsible.

Aside Moses Simon, who was recently unveiled by Paris FC, Super Eagles players have not enjoyed major transfer signing in the current window.

Victor Osimhen is the most sought-after Eagle as he is now on PSG radar after Napoli stopped Galatasaray’s huge interest. The topsy-turvy of his transfer saga may not end anytime soon.

Raphael Onyedika was initially hunted by FC Barcelona, but latest news says he is Juventus’ target. No concrete word from the management of the Old Lady yet.

Ademola Lookman fancies Inter Milan option after Arsenal developed a cold feat in signing him. Same as AC Milan. As things stand, he may end up staying in Atalanta next season.

Indeed, this transfer market is not favourable to Super Eagles players hence, they should wake up from their slumber to put up solid displays in both club and country colours moving forward.

Certainly, the precarious position of Super Eagles in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers could also be a factor affecting the players.

Many argue that they didn’t excel from the first game of the qualifiers, which is rubbing off on the team and as well the players especially in the ongoing transfer window..

Latest FIFA ranking places the team on 44th spot of the log and 5th in Africa. This doesn’t speak well of the individual players in the national team to attract big club moves.
