HAPPENING NOW!!! Arsenal Agrees With Chelsea For Noni Madueke Transfer
Fabrizio Romano has given the ‘here we go’ to Arsenal’s transfer of Noni Madueke, with Chelsea agreeing to a deal for a fee in excess of £50 million including add-ons.
The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Madueke has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal over a five-year contract and he is now set to complete his move to the Emirates Stadium in the coming days.
The deal comes in light of controversy surrounding the transfer, with Arsenal fans creating a petition to stop the move from happening and generating more than 3,000 signatures in 24 hours.
Chelsea had been open to Madueke’s sale despite not encouraging bids or offering the player out, with the Blues having signed the likes of Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens this summer which would impact the 23-year-old’s game time.
Arsenal reached out to Chelsea last week over a deal and Romano confirmed on Twitter that a fee has now been agreed for Madueke to become Arsenal’s third signing of the summer.
Madueke is expected to compete with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard on the left wing for Mikel Arteta, whilst also providing depth for Bukayo Saka on the right flank.
Developing Story…
