Pope Obumneme Odonwodo and three fellow actors were announced to have perished when their boat overturned on the Anam River in Anambra State as they were returning from a film set.
However, a few hours after Junior Pope was declared dead, he was confirmed to have been resuscitated after experiencing death scares.
But unfortunately, Nigerian actor Junior Pope Odonwodo who was briefly resuscitated was later confirmed dead by doctors.
Producer Stanley Nwoke who had been with the actor throughout the aftermath of the incident revealed that the doctors had made the confirmation.
He took to his Instagram page to share the news, saying that there was no doubt about it this time around.
He lamented the manner in which incidents had proceeded, blaming the actions taken for the actor’s eventual death.
