BREAKING: Moses Simon Dropped As #Osimhen Led Nigeria Vs Ivory Coast Starting Line Up [FULL LIST] – #AFCON2023—-The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Nigeria have made two changes from their opening game, a 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea.

Winger Samuel Chukwueze, of AC Milan, replaces Moses Simon on the right flank, while Fulham defender Calvin Bassey replaces midfielder Alhassan Yusuf.

That is not a straight swap. With Ivory Coast’s attacking strength in mind, Jose Peseiro has gone for a back three/back five, with Bassey joining William Troost-Ekong and Semi Ajayi at centre half, with Ola Aina and Zaidu Sanusi pushing on from full-back to wing-back.

Alex Iwobi drops from a more advanced midfield position to a deeper central midfield role alongside Frank Onyeka.
