NEWS FLASH!!! Sanwo-Olu Led Government Ends 50% Discount On All BRT Fares—-The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has announced that the 50 per cent transport fare discount on all the states transportation will come to an end on Sunday November 5, 2023.

Recall that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had on August 2nd, 2023 announced the 50 per cent to help cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal of Lagos State residents.

In a statement by LAMATA, effective Monday, November 6th, 2023, transport fares will revert to the applicable rates prior to the August 2nd adjustment.

LAMATA urged residents to take note of the upcoming shift, advising the populace to prepare for the reversion to the pre-August transport fare rates.

”The public is hereby informed that from Monday, 6th November 2023, transport fare will return to the pre-2nd August 2023 rate.”
