BREAKING: Jeremy #Doku Joins Manchester City On Deal Worth €60m Package

BREAKING: Jeremy Doku Joins Manchester City On Deal Worth €60m Package—-According to reports, Jeremy Doku has agreed to join Manchester united.

This was made known by Fabrizio Romano after his famous ‘here we go’ on Manchester City’s deal to sign Jeremy Doku.

The Stade Rennais winger has become the subject of intense transfer speculation in recent times. While it always seemed like the Belgian youngster was bound to join the Cityzens, some clubs had other ideas. Chelsea were at one point tentatively linked, but more seriously interested were West Ham.

The Hammers had been in talks with Rennes over a potential transfer that could have seen West Ham defender Nayef Aguerd go the other way, but the London club just couldn’t match the appeal nor the financial muscle of the treble winners, who have found their replacement for Riyad Mahrez, now of Al-Ahli.

Once considered one of the biggest wonderkids in Europe, the hype surrounding the Belgian has somewhat dissipated in recent times, but Doku is still a highly-regarded youngster after a solid six-goal, two-assist season last term. The 21-year-old has already found the back of the net once for Rennes in this campaign as well.

After lengthy negotiations, Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that the deal is done, dropping his trademark ‘here we go’ on the move. “Jeremy Doku to Manchester City, here we go,” he announced to his 18.3 million Twitter followers.

“Medical tests being scheduled later this week, personal terms agreed on [a] long term deal.” In a follow-up tweet, Romano revealed: “The fee will be close to [a] €60 million package but it will include very favourable payment terms for City. Installments will make deal feasible.”

“Negotiations,” he continued, “started on August 1 as City decided to go for Doku after tracking him for [a] long time.” This transfer will take Man City’s summer spending to almost €180m after the signings of Mateo Kovacic and the world-record deal for defender Josko Gvardiol.
