BREAKING: Real Madrid Signs Kai Havertz As Benzema’s Replacement?—-Real Madrid has reportedly set their sights on Chelsea’s forward, Kai Havertz, as their prime candidate to succeed Karim Benzema next season.

The talented Frenchman has only a year left on his contract with the Bernabeu, but has reportedly come to terms with Al-Ittihad and will soon be joining forces with Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.

Carlo Ancelotti and Florentino Perez were stunned by the unexpected move, as they had been optimistic that Benzema would continue to don the Real jersey for yet another season. In a recent statement, the Real manager expressed his belief that Benzema ought to conclude his career as a club legend at the Bernabeu.

Last year’s Ballon d’Or was claimed by none other than Benzema, who currently holds the second spot on Real’s all-time goalscorers list. The star player proved his worth yet again as he emerged as Real’s leading scorer of the season, netting an impressive 31 goals across all competitions.

The Spanish team will now have to search for a suitable replacement who can match Benzema’s impressive scoring abilities. Real Madrid is rumoured to be eyeing a number of top-tier strikers, including Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe, and Victor Osimhen, for potentially lucrative transfers.

According to German publication Bild, both Ancelotti and Perez have their sights set on Havertz as their ideal replacement for Benzema, whom they consider to be their dream striker. Kane, Mbappe, and Osimhen showcased their lethal scoring abilities this past season, while Havertz struggled to find his footing.

The forward has encountered difficulties in consistently scoring goals since his transfer from Bayer Leverkusen to Chelsea in 2020. Real Madrid remains undeterred despite the setback and is reportedly preparing to make a “mega deal” approach.

The summer transfer window is upon us and Chelsea is looking to make some changes to their squad, with a particular focus on trimming down their attack. The potential for offers on Havertz remains uncertain as Mauricio Pochettino has yet to commence his tenure with the club until July 1.

The new coach will undoubtedly aim to swiftly familiarise himself with Chelsea’s transfer strategies and seamlessly integrate his own concepts. According to recent reports, Chelsea may be on the hunt for a central striker, potentially leaving Havertz with no choice but to seek out a new team.

Chelsea will undoubtedly aim to recover a significant portion of the £75 million they shelled out for Havertz three years ago.
