BREAKING: #Tottenham Signs Luis #Enrique As Head Coach?—Tottenham are looking to speak with Luis Enrique as they continue their search for a new head coach, the Telegraph reports.
Chelsea have already interviewed the former Barcelona boss, meaning Spurs could well look to rival their London rivals by speaking with the Spaniard as early as this week.
It is not clear where Luis Enrique sits within Spurs’ preferred list of candidates, but they are also set to talk with another Chelsea target.
The Telegraph writes: “Tottenham also have Julian Nagelsmann near the top of their wanted list and the German was interviewed in person by Chelsea co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart last week.
“Former Spain and Barcelona manager Enrique is keen on resuming his coaching career in England and is known to be keen on the Chelsea post, with reports in Spain claiming he had hoped to be offered the chance to start work immediately at Stamford Bridge.”
Luis Enrique is believed to be keen to take up a new job in the Premier League and may have his pick of clubs. Tottenham are also said to be interested in Feyenoord head coach Arne Slot and Burnley boss Vincent Kompany, while Spurs players are thought to be eager for Mauricio Pochettino to return.
WHAT NEXT? Cristian Stellini remains in charge of Spurs in the meantime and will be at the helm once again on Sunday when Tottenham head to Newcastle in the Premier League.
