We’re now just over halfway through the January transfer window and the Premier League has already seen its fair share of twists and turns.
After the weekend began with Manchester United confirming the loan signing of Dutch striker Wout Weghorst, we witnessed Chelsea remarkably hijack Arsenal‘s move for Mykhaylo Mudryk. Blowing the Gunners out of the water with a stunning £87million deal, the Ukrainian wonderkid was unveiled at Stamford Bridge on Sunday after penning a whopping eight-and-a-half-year contract.
All eyes are now on Arsenal to respond and manager Mikel Arteta appears to have already identify his preferred alternative, Barcelona star Raphinha. Having missed out on signing the Brazilian winger in the summer when he left Leeds, the Gunners have reportedly made contact with his agent, Deco, and hope to be more successful this time around.
Liverpool are also hunting for January reinforcements, with the Reds tipped to make a move for highly-rated Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves. And United might not be done, too, with boss Erik ten Hag hinting ahead of their epic Manchester Derby win that the Red Devils could delve back into the market.
