TGM recalls that in 2022, the Ooni engaged in a wedding spree as he married six wives within a period of three months and there are speculations that he had secretly taken a seventh wife.
However, Folashade during an interview with PUNCH said their family members are strict Christians but circumstances forced the Ooni of Ife into polygamy.
According to her, the first-class Yoruba monarch didn’t like polygamy, however, he had no choice but to marry more than one wife because of his kingship status.
