BREAKING: Cristiano #Ronaldo Breaks Silence Ahead Of His Al Nassr Debut Match

BREAKING: Cristiano #Ronaldo Breaks Silence Ahead Of His Al Nassr Debut Match—-The 5-Time Ballon D’Or winner has just reacted to his fitness and workout ahead of his debut for his Saudi Arabian Club, Al Nassr.

He made this known via his official twitter page.

Recall, Cristiano Ronaldo missed out on making his debut for Al Nassr during their game against Al Tai on Friday.

Ronaldo was unveiled at a press conference in Riyadh on Tuesday and declared himself ready to make his debut against their Saudi League rivals.

But he was not named in Rudi Garcia’s starting line-up or on the bench for the game.

There were doubts over whether Ronaldo could play, both due to a ban imposed on him before he left Manchester United and due to registration rules in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo was banned for two matches by a Football Association panel and handed a £50,000 fine in November for hitting a mobile phone out of a fan’s hand after a Manchester United game against Everton in April.

The FA’s Regulatory Commission said after issuing the ban:  “Should he leave MUFC before it completes two first team competitive matches, the balance of the suspension will apply to any new club he should join”.

Referring to Article 12.1 of FIFA’s Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, the Commission added: “Any disciplinary sanction of up to four matches or up to three months that has been imposed on a player by the former association but not yet (entirely) served by the time of the transfer shall be enforced by the new association at which the player has been registered in order for the sanction to be served at domestic level.”

Reacting to his fitness ahead of his debut, he wrote:

Ronaldo was cleared to play in the World Cup for Portugal because domestic sanctions do not apply to international matches under FIFA rules.

Saudi clubs are also not allowed to register more than eight foreign players, which Al Nassr had prior to Ronaldo’s arrival. “Al Nassr has not registered him yet because there is no vacancy for a foreign player,” an Al-Nassr official told AFP.

CRISTIANO RONALDO’S Al-Nassr debut is one step closer after the Saudi club ripped up Vincent Aboubakar’s contract.

Saudi league rules dictate that clubs can only register eight foreign players in their respective squads.
