JUST IN: Elon Musk Says Twitter Follower Count Will Start Dropping [SEE REASON]—-As part of her restructuring, Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk on Thursday tweeted that users’ follower count may start to drop because the microblogging site is purging “a lot” of spam/scam accounts.
The Genius Media Nigeria reports that he made this known via his official twitter page
He tweeted:

Recall, before his $44 billion purchase of the social media company, Musk threatened to exit the deal if Twitter did not reveal proof that spam and bot accounts were fewer than 5% of users.
According to Musk, the purge is expected to eliminate the number of Spam/scan accounts
