BREAKING: #Bet9ja Is Back—The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Nigeria’s number one betting website, #Bet9ja has been restored following 4 days outage after it was allegedly hacked by Russian Blackcat group.
The website popped back up on Monday morning with virtual games already running.
Recall, Bet9ja was on top of the Nigerian Twitter threads as there have been reports that it has been hacked.
This is coming after the management of Bet9ja has revealed that its website has been hacked by the Russian Blackcat group.
This was disclosed by Bet9ja in a statement in which it identified the perpetrators as the Russian Blackcat group, who are famous for several attacks on huge companies around the world.
The gaming site said that the group has already demanded ransom but it insists it will not accept the conditions of the hacker group.
CEO John Matze has since assure customer of safety saying: As Nigeria’s leading and foremost sports betting company, we want to assure you that we have taken these steps because we know the importance of protecting you, our customers. I want to assure you that your data is safe & your funds are intact. The security of your personal data is not compromised even with these attacks.
