Zverev had earlier been upset about a decision made by the match referee.

The men’s Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour reacted immediately and excluded the 24-year-old from the rest of the tournament for “unsportsmanlike conduct”.

Zverev won the title in Mexico last year.
