TGM gathered that the outage, which started over two hours ago, has resulted in inability to make or receive calls and use the internet. The affected lines are currently displaying ‘Emergency calls only’.
MTN is yet to issue an official statement on the cause of the widespread network ‘blackout’ as at the time of filing this report.
