Leaders Of Enugu State PPD Shamelessly Commissioning Projects In Rivers And Other States While They Have Nothing To Commission In Enugu State—Led by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Enugu State PDP characters have, since 2015, settled for shining in the reflected light of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and performing governors of other states.
Ugwuanyi and Ekweremadu now take turns to travel to Rivers State to commission projects. But the question must be when Enugu State PDP leaders will invite PDP leaders from other parts of Nigeria to commission projects in Enugu State.
Under PDP administration, Enugu State has fallen far behind states that came out of it – Ebonyi, Anambra, Abia, Imo, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Cross River.
Instead of using Enugu State public funds to develop Enugu State and keep it well ahead of its “children”, PDP in Enugu State either steal our money or share it among themselves. That is why the International Conference Centre (Okpara Square, Enugu) and the hospital project (Rangers Avenue, Enugu) that Governor Chimaroke Nnamani started in 1999-2007 have since been abandoned.
That is why Presidential Hotel, Enugu collapsed under their watch and has become an “abandoned property”. (Compare the dead Presidential Hotel, Enugu with thriving Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt – both built by Premier Michael Okpara in the First Republic).
That is why Enugu State University of Education, Ihe remains a subject of deception. That is why Nkanu East remains divided by a bridge project started but abandoned by Governor Ugwuanyi. That is why the same Governor Ugwuanyi has left Isi-Uzo LGA divided by collapsed and collapsing bridges, the same Isi-Uzo LGA that the same Governor Ugwuanyi spent tens of millions of naira on hiring an uncountable number of armed thugs to steal from APC in the 5th December 2020 state assembly constituency bye-election!
If Enugu State PDP had shame, their leaders would not be lobbying to go to other states to commission projects while PDP administration of Enugu State has nothing to commission, except thousands of billboards eulogizing colossal failure to make Enugu State people proud.
