BREAKING: NNPC Production Facility In OML 40 Rocked By Explosion—-The Gbetiokun production facilty in Niger Delta, home of Oil Mining Lease (OML) 40, involving partners of the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, Elcrest Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited has experienced a violent explosion.
The NPDC, an upstream subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) confirmed that the explosion occurred while production evacuation was being carried out at the production faculty.
A press release by the Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Dr. Kennie Obateru stated that there were no fatalities or injuries and no significant spill in the incident.
