BREAKING: Akeredolu In Early Lead With Over 32000 Votes – #OndoDecides2020—The Incumbent Governor of Ondo State and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Rotimi Akeredolu, has won in eight of the 11 local governments so far announced.
The Genius Media Nigeria reports that the results were announced by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The Deputy Governor and Zenith Labour Party candidate, Agboola Ajayi, has not won any while the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Eyitayo Jegede, won two.
Akeredolu has so far garnered 169,525 votes.
Jegede is trailing with 89,453 votes.
Ajayi is in a distant third .
A breakdown of the figures shows that the APC candidate is leading with 62,795 votes.
17 political parties are participating in the governorship election held in 18 local governments.
