As fears of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19 continue to increase, the Redeem Christian Church of God, RCCG has issued a new guideline for Sunday worship in Lagos and Ogun States over the viral pandemic.

Recall the Lagos State Government, on Wednesday, March 18, banned all religious gathering with over 50 people within the state.

According to reports, the decision was arrived at after a meeting of the Lagos State Government with religious bodies in the state.

The religious bodies include the Christian Association of Nigeria and Muslim leaders.

The state Commissioner for Information, Mr Gbenga Omotosho announced this hours after the eight case of Coronavirus was recorded in the country.

In a memo on Wednesday evening signed by the Assistant General Overseer in charge of Administration and Personnel, Pastor J.F Odesola, and directed to all Pastors in Charge of Regions and Province in Lagos and Ogun, the Church directed all Churches with less than 50 members to continue normal Church services in line with the directive from the States Government.

However, Churches with more than 50 members were directed to refer members to their various House Fellowship while only those who can have multiple services of not more than 50 members at once should hold such.

The Church also directed all members to now tune to the Church dedicated Television Channel called Dove TV for worship and sermons accordingly.
