The copywriter turned marketing strategist, Oladipo Adesida, has penned a book titled “My French Teacher had an Igbo Accent” and set to launch the book on September 29th, 2019 in Lagos, Nigeria.

The book is an inspiring collection of memories, memoirs and mischiefs of a Nigerian child, his struggles and how he was able to move past all hindrances. The memoir chronicles events from his childhood till his marriage.

Filled with remarkable lessons, the book paints a vivid picture of the many thoughts of a child as it pertains to career choices, nostalgic events around while he was growing up and the various interpretations of happenings in his environment. Having told brand stories for many years, Dipo is set to tell a part of his stories and how his zeal has made him turn the lemons thrown at him by life into lemonades.

Dipo is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Verdant Zeal Group, a multidisciplinary marketing & communications consultancy where he focuses his energy creating positive narratives for brands through media neutral platforms.

Dipo holds a first degree in Dramatic Arts from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, a Diploma in Filmmaking from New York Academy, a Certificate in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.

He is also an alumnus of the British Council/University of Glamorgan (now University of South Wales) Centre for Creative Enterprise Development and one of 500 Africans honoured as Mandela Washington Fellows for Young African Leaders by President Barack Obama in 2015.

‘My French Teacher had an Igbo accent’ will be available or can be ordered at bookstores, online or directly from the publisher.
