Mrs. Buhari, in tweets on Wednesday, stressed on the need for relevant stakeholders especially the police to get involved in tackling rape cases in the society.

The First Lady, Aisha Buhari, has drawn the attention of the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to rape allegations against founder of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo.

Busola, wife of singer, Timi Dakolo, had accused Fatoyinbo of raping her as a teenager.

Fatoyinbo denied the allegation but was forced to step down from ministerial duties in his church.

Another lady, who spoke anonymously, also accused him of raping her while she was an employee of COZA.

Mrs. Buhari, in tweets on Wednesday, stressed on the need for relevant stakeholders especially the police to get involved in tackling rape cases in the society.

Through hashtags, the first lady called on the IGP and other stakeholders to ensure perpetrators of rape face stiffer penalties.

Aisha had sometime in May 2017, visited a six-month-old baby at the Malam Aminu Kano, teaching Hospital, who was allegedly raped by a 30-year-old Mukhtar Muhammad.

She described the rape case as man’s inhumanity to man.
