THE GENIUS: Iyalode of Ibadan, Alhaja Aminat Abiodun, is dead.Sources at her family compound in Idi- Arere area of Ibadan and her Bodija residence, said she died in the early hours of (this morning) today.

As Iyalode, she is the representative of women in the Olubadan-in-council which has 11 members ( the Olubadan as the head and 10 other high chiefs, including Iyalode).

During her lifetime, she’s referred to as the Obabinrin (female king) of Ibadanland. She combines wealth with power.

The tall, beautiful and elegant woman is a ‘talk of the town woman’ everywhere she goes.She became the Iyalode of Ibadan following the demise of the former occupant, Chief Mrs Wuraola Akintola, Aminat Abiodun was announced in August, 2007 and installed on the 19th day October, 2007, as the Iyalode of Ibadanland, the 13th in the history of the ancient town, rising through the ladder as Jagun Iyalode of Ibadanland, from 19 71 to her present position‎, almost 36 years after she began her journey.

A strong and successful businesswoman, Abiodun has not only been prominent, she is still very active despite her age.

‎Just like some of her predecessors, especially the likes of Efunsetan Aniwura and Humuani Alaga, Alhaja Abiodun has always sided with the masses.Sources further hinted that she would be buried tomorrow in accordance with the Islamic rites

BREAKING: President Muhammadu Buhari Son-In-Law Declared Wanted Over N31 Billion Fraud—-Gimba Yau Kumo, the son-in-law of Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has been declared wanted over N31 billion fraud.

The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Gimba Yau Kumo and two others were on Thursday declared wanted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, over diversion and misappropriation of $65 million National Housing fund.

Buhari son-in-law, a former managing director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, who in 2016 married Mr Buhari’s second daughter Fatima, Mr. Tarry Rufus and Mr. Bola Ogunsola, were declared wanted over misappropriation and diversion of $65 million National Housing fund.

ICPC Spokesperson, Azuka C. Ogugua, in a statement, urged the public to provide information about the whereabouts of Mr Kumo and his cohort.

“The persons whose pictures appear above, Mr. Tarry Rufus, Mr. Gimba Yau Kumo and Mr. Bola Ogunsola, are hereby declared WANTED by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) in connection with issues bordering on misappropriation of National Housing Funds and diversion of the sum of Sixty Five Million dollars ($65,000,000),” the commission said.

Before now, Mr Kumo was being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over a N3billon fraud.

Though President Buhari campaigned on riding Nigerian public service of corruption, saying Nigeria must kill corruption before it kills Nigerians, his allies and associates have been fingered in sundry corruption cases.

Meanwhile, Peoples Gazette reported how late Isa Funta, an ally of Mr Buhari, got millions of naira from Federal Inland Revenue Service and how present Acting EFCC Chair was involved theft before he was tapped for the job by Mr. Buhari.

Transparency International in its 2020 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) reported In January, that Nigeria’s ratings plunged to 149 on a categorised scale for “highly corrupt” countries — three places down from its 146th position in 2019.
