Nigerian pop star, Davido has reacted over the release of his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke after being detained over an alleged criminal offence.

The Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate in the just concluded Osun election, was on Tuesday granted bail.

He was granted bail at the Mpape Magistrate Court.

The ‘Assurance’ singer sharing  a video of Adeleke on Instagram wrote: “Our incoming Governor has been released! To God be the glory!!

“See Governor with swag! Adeleke, we get style sha! Osun we are coming, don’t worry.”

Recall that TheNewsGuru had reported that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Osun State was arrested on Monday evening.

Police spokesman, Mr. Frank Mba, explained that Adeleke was picked up for a criminal offence.

In his initial reaction,  Davido, on his Instagram page, said he has given up on democracy in Nigeria.

Alongside a picture of the report, Davido wrote: ”I give up on Democracy.”
