The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a man identified as Segun Oni for allegedly killing one Sunday Oluwadare, his brother-in-law over N30,000 debt.

According to the police, the victim was hit in the head with a big stick by the suspect following a heated argument over an alleged sum of money the suspect lent to the victim.

Spokesman for the force in the state, Mr   Femi Joseph,  confirmed that the suspect had been arrested.

Joseph  said,

“He  is with us and we have commenced investigations into the matter.”

According to a witness at the scene of the fight, Sunday was rushed to the hospital, but lost his life on his way to the hospital, The Punch reports.

“The disagreement led to a fight between them. As the fight went on, Sunday overpowered Oni. So he (suspect) managed to leave the scene a and returned with a big stick to hit Sunday on the head.
“Sunday was rushed to the Ondo State Specialist Hospital, Akure, but gave  up the ghost on the way to the hospital.”
