A middle-aged Nigerian man identified simply as Enango Gelsthorpe Sege has lost his life after his wife posted some photos portraying him as a wealthy and successful person.
The man was shot dead in his residence by some unknown armed robbers who had invaded their house. Sege was killed after his wife posted a picture of him flaunting bundles of cash across her social media handles.
His wife posted the monies that Sege received from his company.
The brother to the diseased blamed his brother’s wife for allegedly killing his brother due to her negligence.
In his words, he said; “I receive this shocking news yesterday.
My brother was sht dad by an unknown armed r*bbers at his resident.This is as a result of his wife’s negligence.
His wife posted on her Facebook account these bundles of money he was paid by his company.
RIP Enango Gelsthorpe Sege.”
Crimes perpetrated via the internet seems to be on the rise as internet fraudsters have also seized the availability of social media to defraud their unsuspecting victims.
It would be recalled that we had earlier reported that the EFCC apprehended some alleged internet fraudsters popularly known as ‘Yahoo boys’
