On the day the suspect allegedly committed the offence, it was gathered that he dropped off the other pupils in his vehicle at their various homes and he was left with the victim.

The police prosecutor, Sergeant Temitope Fatoba, said Oyelakin committed the offence on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, around 4.00pm within the Osogbo metropolis.

Fatoba stated that the accused took the victim to a secluded place and had carnal knowledge of her.

According to him, the offence contravenes sections 360 and 218 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. 11, Laws of Osun State, 2003.

The mother of the victim, simply identified as Mrs Gbadamosi, explained amidst sobs that after the incident, her child was taken to the hospital where she was subjected to X-ray and scan.

The plea of the accused, who was arraigned on two counts of rape and assault, was not taken due to the nature of the offence.
