Alicia Keys has been unveiled as the host of the 2019 Grammy Awards which will be taking place on February 10, 2019.
A Grammy Award winner herself, the mother of one took to her YouTube channel to make the announcements today, Tuesday, January 15, 2019.
The `Girl on Fire’ crooner who has won 15 Grammys, shared her post with the caption: ‘I’m soooo EXCITED to announce that I’ll be hosting the 61st Annual Grammy Awards!
“There’s so much in store and I CAN’T WAIT for y’all to see it ALL come to life.’
The 37-year-old also noted that women have been shaking up society, even as far as their demand for an end to the disparity in the music industry.
“Look at all the action that’s around us: women running for office in record numbers, women banding together in the entertainment industry, women demanding an end to disparity in the music industry like equal representation on the Grammy stage.
“We were told we need to step up. Well, you feel that step up now?” she said in a statement.
